Help Getting Out Of Debt

You Need Help Getting Out Of Debt
You know the drill, you've been down this road so many times. It's midnight. There's a knock at your door. It's two men, one looks a bit jumpy. Their next question is, "Can I have the keys to your car, Mr. Smith? We're sent here from [Bank Name], to repossess your vehicle. We have the paperwork right here."
Or you hear the phone ring...and let it ring. You don't know anyone in Virginia, or Washington, or California, nor recognize the 1-800 number that keeps calling around the clock. What's going on?
You're in debt. How'd this happen? One month, you lost your job. Got behind on some bills. Or the Social Security Administration is telling you that they sent your check, only you don't have it.
Sometimes identity theft happens, a check turns up missing, and you simply get behind. Sound familiar?
You are not alone. If you have over $10k in unsecured debt, you are far from alone, in fact. What you need is simply some respite, a breather, a time to catch up. That's understandable, perfectly. It's also far too common.
Does any of this sound familiar:
"I'm drowing in debt."
"I don't answer the phone, they're all collectors."
"I don't know where to turn."
"I think I'll file bankruptcy."
Wait - just wait. Breathe a little. Take a moment and think about that: what is bankruptcy going to do?
If you speak with a bankruptcy lawyer - guess what they'll tell you?
File Bankruptcy. Convenient, isn't it?
The truth is that bankruptcy IS an option, but so is foreclosure...so are a lot of "options" that aren't really options: they're dead end streets. Before you continue down a road that is too well trod, and before you drop an atomic bomb on your already dismal credit, think twice before hiring a bankruptcy lawyer who tells you bankruptcy is an option.
What bankruptcy is to that lawyer is a paycheck. It's what they do for a living.
Mind you, you just might have to hire a bankruptcy attorney if worse comes to worse - but it is nothing shy of financial suicide. It doesn't matter what "chapter" you file, bankruptcy is financial suicide - there are options.
That's what this hub is about, written by someone who has been there: had the repossession, had the incessant phone calls, the two men knocking on the two-bedroom apartment and scaring the kids at eleven p.m. so they could legally steal the car...or repossess it...
It's enough to make you lose your breath.
What are the options? What do you "DO" about it all?
If you need help getting out of debt, call the number that changed my entire financial future - and that's no joke. This one phone call literally gave me and my wife hope again.

Yes - we were in debt. By "debt" I mean unsecured debt, about $48,573.74...roughly.
I remember the number because I didn't make that much in a year when that figure was looming over my head.
I can't describe to you how utterly desperate that made us feel - by "us" I mean my wife and I and the kids.
In a word, it was suffocating.
Hopelessness and sheer despair, those are two other words that aptly capture my feeling. And I don't want to go back there - not for a moment.
Today? We've paid off $13,389.19 precisely - and my phone isn't ringing anymore!
Why? Because I was able to call 1-877-874-3947 and get my debts consolidated, settled and 100% squared away.
Mon-Fri : 10:30 am to 9:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time)Sat : 10:30 am to 5:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time)
We're back to building our credit, slowly but surely - and the good thing is that I actually didn't need to foreclose, nor file for bankruptcy ~ and this year we're looking at upgrading the house.
By "upgrading" I mean by a total of 1,200 square feet, up from a 3 bedroom to a 5 bedroom. More on that in another hub, I just wanted to share the good news, and stop anyone who's in over their head.
Don't buy the line that bankruptcy is "all there is." There's free counseling available at this number:

I wish I had found this sooner - I just called their number, but they were closed. Then I saw the business hours...it's OK, though: I just went to your blog in your RSS feed - you should put a link to the company in your hub!
Anyway, they're going to be calling me Monday. I'll let you know how it goes.
